Therapeutic massage has been used for centuries to improve overall health, reduce stress and relieve muscle tension. Studies indicate that massage therapy performed during pregnancy can reduce anxiety, decrease symptoms of depression, relieve muscle aches and joint pains. Massage helps to stimulate soft tissues to reduce collection of fluids in swollen joints, which also improves the removal of tissue waste, carried by the body’s lymph system. Massage therapy addresses the inflamed nerves by helping to release the tension on NEARBY muscles.

What precautions should be taken when seeking Prenatal Massage?
As with any therapeutic approach to pregnancy wellness, women should discuss massage with their prenatal care provider. The best way to address the risks of prenatal massage is to be informed and to work together with knowledgeable professionals. It is also recommended that women in their first trimester DO NOT receive massage because of the increased statistics for miscarriage associated with the first 12 weeks of pregnancy.

Appointment Guidelines
New Age Health Spa treatments, originating from healing traditions found throughout the world, serve to create a sense of enhanced well being and balance. Your choice of muscle soothing massage, skin conditioning body wraps and anti-aging facials indulge your body and your soul.

Licensed professionals dedicated to your comfort and satisfaction perform all New Age Health Spa treatments. Each therapist is a skilled artisan with a multitude of techniques to transform your body into a relaxed, content and exquisite being. Communication with your assigned therapist at the onset of a spa treatment is encouraged to inform them of any special concerns you may have. Then, lie back letting your mind and your body rest in preparation for a well-deserved treat.

It is strongly recommended that Spa treatments be scheduled 4 weeks prior to arrival, as availability is subject to popular demand. A Spa Coordinator can be reached by calling 800-682-4348 ext.120, daily between the hours of 9:30am and 6:00pm. Appointments for spa treatments can be made only with a confirmed reservation. 24 hours notice is required to cancel or change appointments to avoid charge. To best accommodate your interests while at the Spa, please refer to the daily schedule of activities and outdoor programs when arranging your spa treatments. Gratuities on treatments are at your discretion.
