The perfect fun workout to get fit, burn fat and tone up with low impact. This new dimension of fitness provides increased neuromuscular coordination, balance and strength while moving to the powerful beat of drums as you strike the body balls. Great for all fitness levels.

Escrima (Stick Fighting):
This fun cardio-workout incorporates moves from the ancient Philippine martial art, Escrima. The footwork is similar to that of a boxing class: shuffles, pivots, lunges and squats. Stretch Classes

Roll & Stretch:
This class offers an opportunity to relax and follow simple stretches to help improve flexibility, range of motion and posture. Foam rollers are added to promote the relief of sore muscles, making this the perfect compliment to any workout routine.

Roll & Release:
We dedicate this class to work on the Roller. It is a combination of self-massage and accupressure to reduce lactic acid build-up and reduce the knots in your muscles. The work is deep but the results are amazing! Diminish the soreness in your body and improve your flexibility.

Strength Training Classes

Body Bar Superset:
Learn how effective the body bar is and the many exercises you can perform. Shape and strengthen you body with drop sets and supersets to muscle group pre-fatigue routines. You will also strengthen your core and improve balance.

Body Conditioning with Weights:
Use a variety of resistance equipment such as free weights, body bars, and tubing to work at your own level and learn about resistance training. You will work one set of primary muscles one day & the opposing primary muscles the next, which will enable you to participate in muscle conditioning every day. Class includes abdominal exercises & post-stretching.

Body Toning with Body Ball:
A challenging workout, using the body ball to work the seven major muscle groups: back, shoulders, chest, thighs, hamstrings, biceps, and triceps. The body ball acts like a weight bench, yet the ball’s soft flexible surface provides a longer range of motion and the ideal body position for many toning moves. Additionally, because your muscles must work to keep the ball stable during exercise movements, you will not only burn fat and increase lean muscle, but will also improve balance and coordination. Your core muscles (middle and lower back and abdominal) and other smaller stabilizing muscles are strengthened.

Toning with Tubes:
A great total body strength workout using stretch tubing for resistance. Stretch tubing offers great means of strength training. It’s lightweight, inexpensive and takes up little space. If you do a lot of traveling, or if you are looking for a quick, simple workout at work, during a break when the children are napping; or if you want variety, added challenge to your present workout, then stretch tubing is for you. You never have to miss your workout if you have stretch tubing.

Intro to Pilates Reformer:
Curious about all the fuss over the Reformer exercise machine? You will learn the principles and techniques of exercises that tone and strengthen the entire body. Class ends with a cardio demonstration on the Jump Board. Shoes are not recommended for this class. (Bare Feet)

Kettle-Butt Workout:
This is a challenging workout for people who have weight training experience, but have never played with kettlebells. You must be able press 10lbs over your head, or you can use a lighter dumbell. We focus on form & technique to safely swing and move the kettlebell in different exercises. Feel how hard the core of your body has to work and how quickly your heart rate increases. Class is limited to 12 – Please sign up at the Exercise Room.

Pilates with Mini Ball or Bands & Rollers:
Learn how to incorporate different props into your Pilates Matwork to connect deeper into your core and stabilize your body. We may use the Little Ball or a Foam Roller & Flex Bands to create resistance and an unstable surface which makes you work your abdominals a little harder. Each exercise is demonstrated and different levels are offered to help accommodate every fitness level. Discover the subtleties that make Pilates unique – breath, mindfulness, core focus. (Bare Feet)

Vertical Pilates with Weights:
This Pilates class is done standing with 1, 2, or 3 lb. Weights. Through slow movements you will feel the basic concepts of core-strengthening. The focus is on gaining stability of the shoulder girdle, abdominal and back muscles. Because the course is introductory, there is explanation, demonstration and opportunity to practice the key elements: balance, breathing, abdominal contraction, and the position of a neutral back. (Bare Feet)

'Raise the Barre' is a combination of Pilates, ballet, cardio and toning to give you a dancers' body without the need for grace. The class uses light weights (1, 2, or 3 lbs) to tone the upper body as you move your legs to increase your heart rate. Then we go to the Ballet Barre to strengthen your legs, feet and lower back. We end with a series of stretches on the barre and a posture check. This class will create lean muscle and a perky bottom!

Water Classes

Aqua Kick Box:
Punch and kick your way to a lean body with this creative class combining the challenge of kick boxing with the resistance of the water. The water also gives your body support and buoyancy to keep your joints safe. Fat cells don’t stand a chance!

Aqua Zumba:
This class uses dance moves from many different areas of the world. African, Latin, Brazilian, Indonesian and more. You might even get a taste of Hip Hop and the Twist. As you dance for a half hour, you burn more calories pushing through the water with less strain on your joints. We end with some upper body toning for a well rounded workout. Give it a whirl!

Noodle Workout:
This workout takes one of the most popular water toys and turns it into an effective, inexpensive and fun piece of equipment. You will push and pull it, step and float on it and get an awesome full body workout.

Power Water Pilates:
Traditional Pilates exercises adapted to use the resistance of water to stretch, strengthen and center by focusing on core muscles and balance. The cardio section focuses on jumping moves that drain your lymph system and strengthen muscles. Then we target hips, thighs, abs & back.

Hydro Sports Drills:
A combo of high & low intensity moves from a variety of sports drills performed with water resistance. You will learn drills from basketball, football, boxing, track & field and boot camp.
