October
22-24: Beat the Blues with Robyn Parets of Breathe
Joy Yoga
As the days grow shorter and the cold weather
& gray skies set in, we are often left feeling
depleted of energy. The approach of winter is
also a common time for SAD (seasonal affected
disorder), depression, and anxiety to set in.
During this experiential weekend, classes will
focus on breathing techniques, yoga flow sequences,
and posture holds- all designed to lift your spirits
and help relieve anxiety and depression. Come
beat the wintertime blues at New Age! Please note:
this weekend is appropriate for everyone and all
levels of yoga experience.
Robyn Parets, director of Breathe Joy Yoga
outside of Boston, Ma., found her way to yoga
several years ago when her life was interrupted
by a neurological disorder. Her illness left
her severely weakened and suffering from panic
attacks. Yet, through her dedicated yoga, meditation,
and pranayama practice, Robyn rediscovered her
inner-strength and innate ability to heal. Now
devoted to yoga, she inspires students to tap
into their own healing potential (physical,
mental and/or spiritual).
For Robyn, yoga is a life-changing, joyful practice
and she aims to instill a sense of well-being
and happiness in her students of all ages. Robyn
is a certified Hatha Yoga teacher, a certified
Meridian Yoga therapist, and a Reiki II practitioner.
